Hello, Azov!

The fortress of Azov passed from the Ottoman Empire to Russia and back several times during its existence. Therefore, the earth rampart and the walls of the fortress itself have been preserved quite well.
The defenses are now used as an object for photographs. From the top of the rampart you can admire beautiful views of the city and port.

No less interesting museum, which is located near the Azov fortress.
A unique exposition, thanks to which you can see what and how the ancient cannons and mortars were loaded.
The museum has an interactive area "Fortress", which is conditionally divided into 7 zones, introducing the life of Peter's army of the XVII-XVIII centuries: soldiers' kitchen, bathhouse, infirmary, punishment cell, chancery, shooting gallery, formation parade ground.
There are also free master classes, photo sessions and creative activities.

We're staying for lunch at Fortress Shaft Restaurant. Great place, friendly staff, delicious dishes according to ancient recipes, huge portions that you can take with you if necessary.

After a busy lunch, we suggest a walk through the center of Azov. Let's start with the observation platform on Petrovskaya Square, a favorite place for leisure activities for locals.

We recommend to visit the Azov Paleontological Museum-Reserve. This is one of the largest such museums in southern Russia. Here is the richest paleontological collection of exhibits.
Besides visiting the expositions and exhibitions, you can also take part in fascinating quests. For children there is a quest "TikTok of time", where participants will connect with monk Nestor with the help of TikTok, the most popular social network among teenagers.
Adults who want to take part in the quest are offered to become heroes of the new reality show "Azov and Tails". Exact times of themed tours are available at the museum's box office or by phone at website.

After the museum-reserve we continue our way along Petrovsky Boulevard. A great place for a leisurely walk. Walking along the boulevard you can reach the monument to Alexander Pushkin.

We'll finish our walk in the old Azov City Park of Culture and Recreation. It's a soulful and favorite place for all Azov citizens.
