The Maltsovs Crystal Museum has more than two thousand exhibits, mainly products of the Gusev Crystal Factory from the XVIII century to the present day, as well as unique author's works of Gusev glass artists. Among them products in the technique of "natsvet" (when on top of the colorless glass superimposed colored glass), which appeared in the Maltsovsky crystal factory in the early XX century. With the help of "natsvet" technique it was possible to make glass, imitating silver and gold.

    Temple of the Primordial Trinity

    Church
    Open Details
The Temple of the Living Trinity in Tume is unusual for its interior. It is decorated with frescoes by V. Vasnetsov, M. Nesterov, A. Ivanov and others. Some frescoes have similarities with other famous works of these artists: Vasnetsov's frescoes in St. Vladimir's Cathedral in Kiev, Ivan's painting "Christ's Appearance to the People" and others. Another highlight of the cathedral is a unique two-story iconostasis of white marble by Italian masters.

    Ascension Cathedral

    Church
    Open Details
Ascension Cathedral - one of the oldest cathedrals in Kasimov, it is known that it existed on this place already in the XVI century. Unfortunately, since that time the church burned down and rebuilt several times, and the bell tower (which was the tallest building in Kasimov) was completely dismantled into bricks under Soviet rule. The appearance that we see now, the temple has had since the XIX century. Not only Russian, but also Tatar architecture traditions are used in the decoration of the temple facades.
The interior decoration of the temple is also unusual: in addition to icons in the temple there are picturesque paintings, painted on the main subjects of the Gospel.
The cathedral is located in the very heart of the city - on Sobornaya Square, so if you still have strength after visiting it you can take a short walk around the neighborhood.
Please note that the cathedral is open from 7:00 to 20:00.
