If you would rather do something a little more leisurely for your afternoon, then you can make the most of the national park's extensive hiking trails! However, if you're feeling brave, head to the Tara North Challenge center and get ready to battle the icy blue waters of 'The Tear of Europe!'
If you are traveling as a large group, then I recommend contacting Black Mountain to book a rafting tour!

    Đurđevića Tara Bridge

Jump back in the car and make your way to Durdevica Bridge!
When it finished construction in 1940, the Durdevica Bridge was the biggest, concrete arch anywhere in Europe! The bridge has a fascinating history and played an important role in the Second World War after it was partially destroyed by Yugoslavian partisans, with the aid of one of the bridge engineers - Lazar Jauković - in order to halt the advance of the Italians. Jaukovic was eventually captured by the Italians, who executed him on the very bridge he helped build and destroy!
Today, the bridge is an extremely popular landmark and draws thousands of tourists over the summer months.
