You are now heading towards the hill of Fourvière which would come from the Latin "Forum Vetus" meaning old forum being the area chosen by the Romans for the foundation of Lyon. Jump in the funicular that will take you to the top of the hill.

The Basilica was built at the end of the 19th Century but the interior was only finished after WWII.
