Adventures at the airfield, Old Ryazan, the beautiful banks of the Oka

Early in the morning we go to the "Krutitsy" airfield. And this is what you can do here:

• make a parachute jump on your own or in tandem with an instructor;
• try flying in an aerotube;
• make a flight on a small plane above the beautiful forests and fields;
• take an accelerated course of free-fall training.

Attention: the airfield works from Wednesday to Sunday. It is better to inform the instructors in advance about your plans.

We'll have lunch at the cafe "Day and Night," which is right down the road. It has a nice interior, a spacious room, and reasonable prices: 250 rubles is enough to fill your stomach.

We will stop by the von Derviz estate in Kiritsakh. This amazing architectural ensemble was built in 1889 by Sergei Pavlovich von Derviz, the son of the builder of the Moscow-Ryazan railroad, nicknamed "the Russian Monte Cristo". Now in this unusual building is located a children's tuberculosis sanatorium, so you can not go inside, but walk around the palace, no one forbids.

The next point of the trip is Old Ryazan, the only capital of the lands of ancient Russia that turned into a "dead city. The city did not exist for long: after its devastation in 1237 by Batu Khan, it could not recover.
Not much remained of the ancient capital: a huge hill with a flat top. Archaeological valuables were long ago moved to museums. And the half-destroyed red-brick arch is the remains of the church, which was built in the XX century in memory of the burned ancient cathedrals.
Look also in the neighboring Fatyanovka, which is surrounded by unique and unusual for the Ryazan region landscapes.

Another incredibly picturesque place is located near the slopes of the village of Trinity. Here lie glacial boulders, similar to those near Staraya Ryazan. It is not uncommon here for locals to discover bones and tusks of mammoths washed out of the cliff.

Let's have dinner near Ryazan, in a restaurant "In a certain kingdom". These "lordly" chambers serve dishes of Russian and European cuisine: homemade noodles with mushrooms, rich cabbage soup, peasant soup in bread. Just what you need after a long walk in the fresh air!

Isn't it time to stop for a vacation? You can stretch your legs, fill up your tank, and buy supplies for the road at "Gazpromneft" gas stations.

Before going to the hotel, let's take a walk around evening Ryazan. Needless to say, this city is worth visiting for a few days: there are a lot of historical sights here.
