In the first half of the day we will visit the Oka State Reserve, one of the most picturesque parts of Meshchera. The standard tour includes three parts: general acquaintance with the reserve, a visit to the crane enclosure, and a visit to the bison nursery. I recommend you sign up for the tour at 10:30 (the next one will not be until 12:30). The visit will take 1.5-2 hours, and don't forget to stop by the souvenir shop.
In the neighboring village of Dobryanka, there is a cafe "Brykin Bor" that promises to serve boiled cabbage soup, homemade cutlets, and ruddy pies. We stop there for lunch after a long walk in the woods.

    Forest
    Open Details
On the outskirts of Shilovsky District hides an unusual forest, where every pine tree curves its trunk to the north. Scientists believe that the forest became "intoxicated" because of several abnormally wet years in the 70s, when very snowy winters alternated with rainy summers. The young pines could not resist the elements and eventually took this unusual shape.
The scientists' version is convincing, but the Drunken Wood is still considered an anomalous zone. It is said to charge hopelessly dead phones, give headaches and lose the best camera shots.
On the way back you can stop at Terehov settlement. The site of the ancient settlement is on a promontory where a pine forest grows, on the southern outskirts of the village of Terehovo. The hill offers a wonderful view of both Lake Chudino, which has the shape of the letter "U", and the protected forest.
