    Day 2. In the yurt

Our home for the week was the yurt at Inside Out Camping. It accommodated five people, had a wooden flooring to protect us from the night's cold, a kitchen inside, and a wood stove. The campsite where we settled in had clean toilets and showers with hot water. The organizers have considered every detail. Solar panels gave us access to electricity, a gas tank gave us a small stove for cooking, and there was even an excellent BBQ kit. Such a civilized version of a vacation in the wilderness. And the main thing - our camp is situated on the bank of mountain river. Falling asleep and waking up to its sound - an incredible pleasure. Another advantage of such a vacation - full offline. There was no cellular communication penetrating the campsite, we could disconnect from the outside world and enjoy nature and good company. Of course, such "amenities" are not found in every camp, but we strongly advise you to put away your smartphones for the time of camping.

    Derwent Water Marina

The first hiking route we decided to do was around Lake Derwent Water, also called the "Queen of Lakes. The trail is fairly flat, easy, and great for beginner hikers. Plus, it winds along the scenic shoreline, interspersed with ancient forests and small piers. There are picnic areas, restaurants, cafes, and restrooms along the way.
