    • See the most beautiful landscapes in Britain.
    • Visit Shakespeare's homeland.
    • Stay overnight in a yurt.

The Lake District is a huge national reserve in northwest England with incredible scenery and plenty of options for outdoor activities. We've prepared and personally tested the Lake District itinerary and are ready to reveal all the secrets.
P.S. We chose the most budget and spartan accommodation option for us - camping. There are many campgrounds in England, and they are located in incredibly beautiful places and are well equipped. Most have showers and kitchens and even Wi-Fi (if you like to surf the net in the countryside). You can stay overnight not only in tents, but also in tipis (similar to a teepee), lanpods, glamping sites, mobile homes and yurts - there are plenty of options to suit all tastes.

Day One. On the way to the Lake District

On the way to the Lake District, there are a number of interesting cities. For example, Nottingham (yes, from the legend of Robin Hood) and Leeds, with one of the most romantic castles in England, and if you choose a more westerly route, you can check out Coventry, Birmingham and Manchester.

    Day 2. In the yurt

Our home for the week was the yurt at Inside Out Camping. It accommodated five people, had a wooden flooring to protect us from the night's cold, a kitchen inside, and a wood stove. The campsite where we settled in had clean toilets and showers with hot water. The organizers have considered every detail. Solar panels gave us access to electricity, a gas tank gave us a small stove for cooking, and there was even an excellent BBQ kit. Such a civilized version of a vacation in the wilderness. And the main thing - our camp is situated on the bank of mountain river. Falling asleep and waking up to its sound - an incredible pleasure. Another advantage of such a vacation - full offline. There was no cellular communication penetrating the campsite, we could disconnect from the outside world and enjoy nature and good company. Of course, such "amenities" are not found in every camp, but we strongly advise you to put away your smartphones for the time of camping.
