Take a Trip Back Through History in Norway's Oil Capital, Stavanger
The first day of your trip is chock-full of history. After a quick breakfast in Bergen you will visit a small museum where you'll hear the stories of Norway's resistance movement--from the women who fought for their country to the specific role the local area played in fighting against the opposing forces of World War II, you'll leave with a better understanding of Norway's past. The landmark pays homage to the iconic Battle of Hafrsfjord, the naval battle in 872 won by viking chief Harald Fairhair who later named himself the king of Norway and united the country under his one kingdom. Gamle Stavanger

Go for a leisurely walk in Old Stavanger. Stavanger has over 8,000 wooden houses and buildings. Around 200 of those houses make up the Old Town, which lies a short walk from the harbour.
