Upside Down and the Medieval Town!

Pompejanum is a replica of the villa of Castor and Pollux (Casa dei Dioscuri) in the Italian city of Pompeï. As you maybe know, the city was destroyed by the exploding of the Vesuvius in the year 79. This house was built on the initiative of King Ludwig I of Bavaria in 1840. Inside you will find frescos and Roman objects. From here, you also have a great view of a castle.
Beware this place is closed on Mondays and several months in winter (from November till March).

Die Verdrehte Welt is a fun place to stop and take some funny pictures. Everything is upside down, so you can get a bit dizzy. You can have a drink here as well, but you will have to hope the coffee cup is in its normal position.

Time for lunch! On your way to Rothenburg, you will find this restaurant that serves delicious German food put on your table by a very friendly staff. A good place to have a break from driving and fill up to have some energy to explore Rothenburg.

You have arrived in the gorgeous town of Rothenburg. You can park you car on one of the main parking area's for example at P4 Galgentor and then you can explore the city on foot. The whole town is still built in medieval style, which makes it very photogenic. Take your time here to enjoy all the interesting buildings and towers. Like this tower where prisoners were held.

The medieval town of Rothenburg has a lot of history as you can imagine. In the museum, you get to learn all about it, and it is nice to know some more background info while you get lost around the fantastic centre of this fairy town.

Wow, have you ever seen such a beautiful town full of history? Rothenburg looked like a fairy tale, didn't it? Well, after all that exploring and more than an hour of driving, your tummy must be rumbling. Time to eat. Here you can enjoy some good food together and talk about all you have seen today. Beware, the restaurant is closed on Thursday nights and Fridays.
