A Castle and a Very Big Bench on Your Way Along Koblenz

After a 50-minute drive, you will see this castle park, where you can enjoy a nice stroll, breath in the fresh air and enjoy the sounds of birds and leaves rustling. The park is beautiful (and if you like ducks, you are in for a treat). In the park, you can also find giant sequoias, among them one of the biggest in Germany.

What to say, it's a very big bench where you can take funny pictures. Perfect for a short stop on your way to Koblenz.

Park your car here. You have arrived in the 2000-year-old city of Koblenz which lies between the rivers Rhine and Moselle.

You will find this monument at the Deutsche Eck (the German corner). The monument that celebrates German Unity is quite impressive and standing on the German Eck, you can see the Rhine and Moselle meet, which is also very impressive.

Alongside the river Rhine, you will find the restaurant Pegelhaus, where you can have your lunch on the terrace while enjoying the view of the river. The food is great, and the staff is nice. What else do you need? Be aware that there is no food service on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Every year around 50,000 tourists visit this medieval castle, and they all have to wear slippers over their shoes to not damage the authentic floors of this stunning castle. The castle is not only lovely from the outside, but also from the inside. On top of that, you will have a great view of the surroundings.
The castle is part of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Make sure to be at the castle before 16:00 otherwise your entrance is denied, and you will walk all the way up for nothing.
