Traveling solo is my jam but I often travel with my husband and two sons. Their needs have shifted my perspective, but not too much. I am based in the San Francisco Bay Area and frequently travel around the United States and Europe (plenty of family there, too). I typically focus my travel experiences around food/restaurants, interesting cultural sites, art and connection with the outdoors. I like to read a book about the place I am visiting while I am there. Countries I have traveled to include: Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Cuba and most Caribbean islands; Australia, Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong, India; Morocco; Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Belgium, The Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Britain, Ireland, Scotland. I have lived in Chile, Spain, Switzerland and the United States.
I'm a travel expert passionate about road trips. I plan my trips carefully, I choose the most authentic spots and I search for hidden gems. I have a thing for finding the best restaurants. I'm glad to share my experience and my adventures all around the world!
After 17 years as a tour guide on four continents, Monika Fuchs works full-time as a travel blogger. She loves road trips. On her travels around the world she has discovered many routes that took her along beautiful and fascinating routes. She has been publishing travel tips, city portraits and tour suggestions since 2001 on her travel blog TravelWorldOnline about Slow Travel and Trips to Savor together with her husband. She is particularly interested in regional specialities, sights that show the culture and history of a region, and experiences that allow her to get to know the local people and their everyday lives
I'm originally from the UK but have travelled extensively across Europe, South America and North America. I specialise in themed road trips in the UK, France, Spain and the USA.
I'm an avid traveler who loves finding unique places to visit in my city, state, region, and beyond. My first overseas trip was to France and Belgium when I was 11. I spent extended time in Europe while I was in college. I am very food-driven in my travels and love finding the best eats and treats, and almost always hit up a brewery when I'm in a new city!
I am a freelance travel writer and blogger based in South Africa. Travel ignites my passion and I would be permanently on the road if I could. My hobbies include taking the road less travelled and discovering fascinating places around the world. I have been to 47 countries thus far, and counting … but my favourite place is in the African bush, on safari.
Travel Blogger since 2012, I've been in 75 countries, I live in Rome and I'm in love with Italy. I'm a travel psychologist, nature lover, dogs lover.
Hi, I'm Susi, a professional travel blogger/author and content creator from Germany. I love road trips, nature and the Great Outdoors and have been travel blogging at www.blackdotswhitespots.com since 2012. I have a preference for the small and local, for sustainable travel and unique travel experiences - abroad but also in my own backyard in Germany. I believe you don't have to travel far to have an adventure!
Hi there! 👋 My name's Phoebe, and I'm a Houston-based travel writer. My work has been featured in the Associated Press, Condé Nast Traveler, Christianity Today, Houston Chronicle, and more. If I'm not traveling or planning my next adventure, you can find me connecting with the communities and cultures in my own backyard. One of my favorite parts of travel? Engaging in the language of a people or place. Or at least, trying to. I minored in Arabic as a journalism student, studied Spanish or four years (it's a must for all Texans!), and try to speak as much Cambodian as possible with my family.
I have traveled (solo!) throughout the United States (including Alaska and Hawai'i), Europe, Central America, and South/Southeast Asia. I lived in Central Europe while I was a Fulbright Fellow and lived and worked throughout Western Europe! I have lived on every coast in the United States and have traveled to each state at least once.
I grew up around Detroit, MI, and previously covered art and culture for Ann Arbor and the University of Michigan, where I wrote about Michigan-based artists, events, and art exhibitions. I lived in Paris for a summer to learn French and explore Europe. I then moved to New York for two years and worked in the fashion industry. I now move between Detroit and Montréal working as a full-time freelance writer. Michigan is always home to me, and I adore writing about all the unique places my state has to offer.
Travelling is my first love, followed by history, literature and good food. I like to combine everything on my travels. I want to get the best out of what the world has to offer.
