Musk Ox Spotting in the Dovrefjell National Park and a Visit to an Old Viking Graveyard

You'll grab some breakfast to go from the hotel before heading out early for the big day ahead. On your way out of Lom, you can't miss a quick stop at Neset bru with its blinding emerald waters. The very cold waters are from the Europe's biggest glacier, Jostedalsbreen, which is also responsible for the striking colour. Cars aren't allowed on the bridge so you can park right next to it and go for a walk over the water.

Though the vikings roamed these lands thousands of years ago, they pale in comparison to the sturdy musk ox, one of earth's oldest land mammals. You'll walk 1.5 km from the parking lot before you arrive at the Snøhetta viewpoint, which was named "World Building of the Year" in 2011 and is also part of the Norwegian Wild Reindeer Centre. From here you'll have some time to spot for the wildlife that roams the Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella National Park. Keep your eyes peeled for these old furry creatures.
