You’ll find several smaller valleys within the Colchagua valley, one of which is the Apalta Valley. Because of the location and weather conditions, this particular valley is best known for its red wine production, specifically syrah and Carmenere. Since they are one of the larger producers of wine in the area, you’ll explore different rooms and learn their production process. Right next door (within walking distance), Fuegos de Apalta offers exquisite meals from famous Argentina chef Francis Mallmann. You can coordinate ahead of time to combine your tour with your lunch hour so that the day runs smoothly together. This restaurant offers a variety of meats that are grilled, but beef is their specialty.
