The only reserve located on the territory of Moscow region is Prioksko-Terrasny reserve. It was opened in June 1945. Since 2015, the reserve has been named after M.A. Zabolotsky, who founded a bison nursery here.
The reserve is famous for the route "The road to the bison". You can also walk the "Through the Leaves" eco-trail, which runs at treetop level and is open on weekends.
The reserve can only be visited as part of an excursion. The excursion along the Path to the Bison is only available in groups. The tour groups start at 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00 on weekdays. On weekends from 9 am every hour. Tickets are purchased on site, at the ticket office of the administration building.
