Where I've been
James Taylor is a travel journalist from Australia based in Europe. He spent his formative writing years living and working in Iceland, where he successfully carved out a niche specialty in the destination. He has written for plenty of publications and media outlets about Iceland, spanning stories from the local culture to adventures on the glaciers. He also recently updated the new Bradt Guide to Iceland, an award-winning guidebook from the independent UK publisher.
On top of his Iceland adventures, James has also travelled extensively throughout Europe and is continuing to write for magazines and websites. Based in Barcelona, he is currently updating another Bradt Guidebook to France, writing stories about Catalonia, and completing copywriting work for travel clients around the globe.
Aside from travelling and writing, James loves to surf and drink coffee. His favourite travel memories are walking the Camino de Santiago in 2021 and an epic 6-week campervan trip around Iceland in 2020.
