Estate Museum, amusement park and interactive museum

The first stop on the way is the Church of the Virgin Mary in Dubrovica. It has been put in 1690 by the decree of prince Golitsyn. It is sometimes called Notre Dame of Moscow suburbs. It looks and really very unconventional for Orthodox Church.
The foundation of the church is shaped like a Templar cross. The dome is made in the form of a crown, and the facade is decorated with sculptures, plant ornaments and images of cherubim. Among them is the phoenix, to which is associated the legend of the revival of the Order of the Templars.
Nearby is the Golitsyn manor house (you can't get inside, but you can walk in the manor park).
The hill, where the Church of the Sight rises, turns into a hill in winter, so it's better to grab a lollipop.

Wild Squirrels Active Recreation Park.
In winter, "Winter Fun" opens here. You can go skating on tubing, ice rinks, snowshoes and skates (skates should be taken with you), visit the maze. The park is open for everyone in snowy weather, on weekends and on holidays. On other days only groups of 20 people are allowed (you can join the group).

Rope parks and trampolines are open in summer (extra charge). Excursions to the farm are available all year round. At excursions it is possible to pet goats, to learn about technologies of cheese making, to taste farmer's cheese.

The museum-estate of the famous artist Vasily Polenov. The artist designed all the buildings himself. The house-museum was opened here in 1931. In winter, the Big White House looks fabulous. It's quiet and peaceful, you can feel the atmosphere. The Big House can be accessed on a tour. You can also visit the Abbey (Polenov's workshop), Half-timbered buildings (outbuildings), Admiralty (shed for wintering boats). Master-classes are held in the Children's House. Schedule: daily except Monday and Tuesday.

Here you can learn about the industrial era from the cultural and sociological point of view, through art history and literature. There are 3 types of excursions in the museum: "Excursion Stanochka and Spindle" - children's quest in an interactive format; "Tula - workshop of Russia" - historical excursion to the past of Tula; "History of Industry" - a fascinating journey through the stages of industry development. Multimedia performances are available (for organized groups, by appointment).

The embankment along the Tula Kremlin was a favorite walking route of the inhabitants of Tula in the XIX century. From the embankment there is an exit to the pedestrian Metalist Street, which preserved the atmosphere of the county town. Now the embankment is a landscape park with recreation areas, playgrounds, amphitheatre and cafe.
