    Road Trip: Historic Park City to Swiss-Inspired Midway

    The first day of your trip will begin exploring Utah's Park City's Olympic Park and Historic Main Street. You will also experience unique dining with Western fare at the High West Distillery for lunch and European courses at the Blue Boar Inn & Restaurant. Your evening will end with an overnight stay at a Swiss-inspired resort in Midway, Utah.

    You'll begin your route through Utah's mountain resort towns starting with Park City. Your first stop will be the Utah Olympic Park, which hosted the bobsled, skeleton, luge, and Nordic ski jumping at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games.
    The facility is still in use today, and you may see some athletes practicing their Nordic jumps into the pool in the summer. You can also participate in activities yourself, such as extreme tubing, bobsled riding, zip lining, and airbag jumping. There are also two free museums on site about skiing and the Winter Olympics.

    For lunch, head into Old Town Park City and visit the High West Distillery and Saloon, Utah's first distillery that opened in the 1870s. Located at the bottom of a ski run, High West features a cozy mountain atmosphere for having your Western lunch while trying one of High West's award-winning whiskeys. The menu includes elk and bison bolognese, rocky mountain trout, duck and venison gumbo, and wild mushroom ragu.

    Now it's time to take a stroll through historic Park City Main Street after lunch. You'll find the street is full of shops, restaurants, and art galleries. A few places to see on the street include the Egyptian Theater, which is home to the Sundance Film Festival. Dolly's Bookstore is another local favorite shop to browse through.
    There are also two original Banksy art pieces on display along Main Street. One is of a cameraman on 4th and Main Street outside of Java Cow, and the other is of a praying boy at 537 Main Street.

    From Main Street, you will start the scenic mountain drive up past the Deer Valley Resort. When you get to the top, stop at the Empire Pass View Area before dropping into Midway, Utah. Here there is an easy short path to get a great view of Bonanza Flat and the surrounding area. There is also an upper trail route from the same starting area that goes along the ridge for 1.75 miles one way that provides additional views if you want a longer hike.
