Gatchina is one of the largest cities in the Leningrad Region. It is worth going to this city to see the historical and cultural values of Russia. Our trip will take place not only in Gatchina itself, but also in its suburbs. First of all, we will go on a tour of the museum manor in the village of Christmas. In Gatchina itself we will visit the estate museum of P.E. Scherbov, visit one of the oldest churches dedicated to the Virgin in the Leningrad region - the Intercession Cathedral. And of course we will not forget to visit the main sights of Gatchina - Gatchina Palace and the Birch House.
The trip to Gatchina will take all day and you can see a lot of interesting things during this day. Before arriving in the city itself, we will go to its surroundings and visit the museum manor in the village of Christmas. When we arrive in Gatchina, the first thing we will do is go on a tour of the museum estate of the artist P. E. Scherbov. We will definitely visit the main attraction of Gatchina - Gatchina Palace and find out what the Birch House contains.

The next attraction on our trip is Gatchina Palace. The palace resembles an English castle in its architecture. You can climb the Signal Tower, which offers a beautiful view of Gatchina and its surroundings. Next to the palace there is a park, where you can walk in the open air and look at the palace from the outside. *An advance booking, you can take a tour. The ticket office is open until 17-00. Access to the palace is possible on any day of the week except Mondays.
Before leaving the city you should visit a birch house. Behind a simple facade of wood hides a luxurious interior with gilded and painted stucco. An unexpected surprise in addition to a walk in the park.
Dinner will take place not far from Catherine's Park. The restaurant of Russian cuisine "Khlebnikov's Tavern" is imbued with the atmosphere of the XIX century. Inside the restaurant is decorated with historical photographs, and from the windows there is a beautiful view of the Cathedral Square.
