- Navigate through the subway river in the caves of Sant Josep.
- Bathe in the thermal waters of the Mijares river in Montanejos.
- Walk along the edge of the river to the waterfall of Salto de la Novia in Navajas.
The water or rather the riverbeds are the main axis of this route through the interior of the province of Valencia and Castellón. It begins in the spectacular cave of Sant Josep with navigation through the subway river. After a brief stop in Onda and its castle, there is time for an open-air bath in the thermal waters of the Mijares river in Montanejos. On the second day, low-difficulty trekking takes centre stage in Jerica and then in Navajas. In the latter village, there is a high cascade that falls over the river Palancia.
The route continues to Segorbe to visit its castle and a fountain with 50 water spouts. And the final attraction is watching the sunset from the Mediterranean balcony on the Sierra Calderona mountain range.

Underground Rivers and the Thermal Springs of Montanejos
The first day is spent in a beautiful scenery. The road marks the first stop at the cave of Sant Josep, a place where an underground river of turquoise water flows surrounded by stalactites and stalagmites. It is even possible to take a boat trip, as it is navigable! Then a stop to see the castle of Onda, a place where important wars took place and whose exterior towers are still in good condition. Finally, Montanejos and the river Mijares conclude the first day, ready for a dip in the open air even if the temperature outside is cold? The naturally flowing thermal waters are the ideal place to relax in the middle of nature at any time of the year.
