Abandoned military bunker and the Podolsk Sea project

Yesterday you visited Pushchino-na-Oka in the evening, today in the morning go to Pushchino-na-Nare. Another amazing place, where you can walk around and examine the ruins of the once majestic Vyazemsky manor.
The former country estate of Princes Vyazemsky is situated in a very picturesque place on the bank of the Nara River. The palace and park ensemble started to be built in the XVIII century, and fell into decay in the 1970s. With responsible attitude to the monument of architecture, it could be preserved in good condition, but, alas, now we can observe only ruins.
Now the manor is under restoration and a watchman will let you into the territory.

We suggest you to diversify this trip a little and visit Vysotsky Monastery, located on the high left bank of the river Nara. It was founded in 1374 by Serpukhov Prince Vladimir. The monastery is known for its icon "The Unequenchable Bowl", people come here to pray for people who are addicted to alcohol.

From there you will travel to the main destination of this route, but first have lunch, because there is no cafe on the way. For lunch we suggest going to the cafe "Oatmeal", which keeps up with the times and manages to pay tribute to the classics.

Here you have reached the main attraction of the route - the multi-storey military bunker. Not much is known about this place, it is assumed that the bunker was not completed due to the collapse of the USSR.
The multi-storey underground bunker has four shafts, and it goes three stories deep. The territory is not guarded, you can easily walk through the bunker, see the strange unfinished buildings and even go down into the bunker itself and examine it from the inside.
You will have to leave your car in the area and walk a little, about 10 minutes. Be sure to take a flashlight with you.
Be careful, the construction is old. If you are not experienced enough in digging, it is better not to climb inside - it can be dangerous. Mobile phone service there is also poor. It is better to examine the place from outside and go further.

After a walk on the bunker, we suggest a little distraction and a walk on the territory of the Dubrovica manor. The palace and park complex, which we can observe now, was created in the first half of the XIX century. In Dubrovice you can see the main manor house, the outbuilding, the equestrian yard and the famous Znamenska Church, which amazes with its elegance and is a model of mature baroque.

The last abandonment on this route, but no less interesting than the others. Like the bunker, this project just wasn't completed. After the construction of the dam was started, there were difficulties with the underground caves, where the water went. This is only one of the versions: no one knows the true reason why this project was stopped.
But for tourists it is another picturesque place, where you can walk around and come up with your own theory, what events took place here and why.
