Vyatka cucumbers and Kostroma cheese

On the way to Kostroma and Yaroslavl we will see the Resurrection Cathedral, built in 1678.
There are two temples on the territory of the Resurrection Cathedral: the upper one, it is also called "summer" (you can visit it only in summer) and the lower one "winter".
Both temples contain unique fresco paintings (especially "summer" is famous), magnificent portals decorated with carvings, centuries-old icons and other relics (the temples managed to preserve almost all of their decoration - so this is a truly unique case).

The village Vyatskoe is called the cucumber capital of the Yaroslavl region, the taste of Vyatka cucumbers is known far beyond its borders. Cucumbers grow here in the open ground and without irrigation.
Vyatka pickles were previously supplied to the imperial court, and were also exported abroad. There is a known case when Vyatka pickles were stored until 25 years, and at the same time did not lose their taste!
An interactive excursion into the past awaits you in the museum: as if you were visiting Mistress Karpovna, she will treat you to pickles and tell you about the life of her and her village!
