- Enjoy the southwest's beautiful National Parks such as Zion, Grand Canyon, and Capitol Reef.
- Take in secluded delights in faraway corners of Utah.
- Stay at world class accommodations tucked in beautiful natural settings.
This is a classic southwest National Park route dressed up. There are fantastic recommendations for dining and stays along this 4- or 5-day route. Head north toward the Grand Canyon, and spend the day familiarizing yourself with one of this country's natural wonders. Next, move to Zion via the Lake Powell area, where you will drive and dine in style. After day 2 is when your route quiets down a bit; Bryce Canyon and some great stops along the way bring you east to Escalante for a yurt adventure. Finally, you will make your way to Escalante National Monument and Capitol Reef National Park, with delicious stops in between. Make your way back home by staying halfway in Lake Powell.

Grand Day at the Canyon
You know what this day is all about: the Grand Canyon. As famous and popular as it is, heading up to Utah means that this legendary National Park must be visited. Check out a great way to plan your visit, and a few other amazing stops along the way.

Best Friends and Famous Sights in Southern Utah
This route moves from most popular to least; your second day features Zion National Park, another area hotspot. However, you get off the tourist track in Kanab, at the gigantic and beautiful Best Friends Animal Rescue. After hitting some Zion hotspots (after the crowds die down), you will enjoy a scrumptious meal at the hotel you end your day at.

Day 3

Gorgeous and Remote Canyon Hikes
As you make your way north and east from Zion, you will start to see the crowd thin out and the wild space creep in. Of course it is all beautiful, but it's easy to see why many visitors consider Bryce Canyon the most beautiful of all Utah's National Parks. Spend your day stopping along and checking out these unique rock structures.

Big Day off Beaten Track
It is hard not to highlight the two meals on this last day in Southern Utah. Chak Balam and Hell's Backbone have stunningly fresh and inventive fare tucked in little corners of the state. Your day will also take you to Capitol Reef National Park and Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument for views and hikes. Make your way back home, staying in the Lake Powell area to break up the long drive.
