    This one-day route through Utah Valley will take you to beautiful views of Utah Lake, Provo Canyon, and Timpanogos mountain. You will begin the day walking along the shores of Utah Lake in Vineyard and viewing two tall waterfalls in Provo Canyon. You will have the option to hike Stewart Falls near Sundance Resort and Salamander Flat in the center of the Alpine Loop. You'll end your journey with a 20-mile scenic drive along the Alpine Loop and dinner at the Harvest Restaurant at Thanksgiving Point.
    This route is suitable for May through October since the Alpine Loop road closes during the winter. If driving this route in the winter, instead of hiking to Stewart Falls, you can hike onto the Alpine Loop road since the snow is packed down by maintenance workers. You can then return the way you came and complete your route via I-15 to the Harvest Restaurant.

    You will take the turn off to Sundance Resort, which was originally owned by actor Robert Redford and is a venue for the annual Sundance Film Festival. Continue past the resort to park for the Stewart Falls Trailhead. This is a 3.4-mile out-and-back trail that takes you through Aspen groves with views looking up at Mt. Timpanogos. The trail ends at the scenic 200-foot-tall Stewart Falls.
    If driving this route in the winter, instead of hiking to Stewart Falls, you can hike from the same trailhead parking lot onto the Alpine Loop road for a few miles up since the snow will be packed down by maintenance workers. This will still provide stunning views of the mountains around you.

    After your hike, you will begin heading your way back to Salt Lake City via the 20-mile Alpine Scenic Loop. You will come across stunning vistas, rugged mountains, and lush forests during this scenic drive. The main highlight is seeing Mt. Timpanogos from various sides during the drive.
    Bear in mind that in order to go through the Alpine Scenic Loop is available since May till October and visitors and visitors are required to pay a small fee. For more details, call the information center.
