The Al Hayl fort was probably built around 1830. The location is very nice and offers beautiful views of the surroundings. You can see date palm plantations. There are many ruins around.
Open hours Saturday - Thursday 8:30 - 13:30, 16:30 - 18:30 Friday 14:00 - 18:30.

Have lunch at this very nice restaurant. You are now in the city center of Fujairah city.

The Sheikh Zayed grand Mosque of Fujairah is the second biggest mosque in the UAE after Sheikh Zayed Mosque un Abu Dhabi. It is huge and made of white granite and white marble. It is not open to non - Muslims but you should definitely drive by to check it out. Very impressive.

The Fujairah Fort is very impressive and beautiful at the same time. It is located on a hill, so when you go up there at the top of the towers and fortifications, you can see beautiful views of the mountains, date plantations and Fujairah city center with the sea in the background. The fort was built between 1500 and 1550. It was very nicely restored.

Fujairah museum has a good section of archeological artefacts from sites nearby. It also has an interesting ethnographic section showing scenes of the everyday traditional life in the area. Very interesting to learn about the local culture and history.

Drive along the corniche of Fujairah and check out the beach of the city center of Fujairah city.

Al Bithnah Fort seems like it comes out of date palm plantations. It is located with mountains around and gives very picturesque surroundings.

You can check in at the hotel and take a shower before going to this very nice Italian restaurant. It is right by your hotel and right by the beach.

Le Meridien is a great hotel right on the beach. They have a big swimming pool. If you have a room with sea view, you can watch sunrise on the sea if you set up your alarm at sunrise time for tomorrow morning.
