Joshua Tree is one of the most popular places for Angelenos to head for a getaway, and why not? Consistently dry blue skies, deep blue nights, enchanting desert landscapes, iconic yuccas, and a contagious air of creativity keeps people coming back.
On this trip, you'll hit up the best of this region by fully exploring the park and visiting some of the funky elements in and around it—think sound baths, an Old West honky-tonk, and a "world-famous" crochet museum. Cap it off with a soak in a spa at Desert Hot Springs.

Drive Through the Quirky Side of Joshua Tree
Now that you've had time to explore the park, it's time to get to know Joshua's Tree's weirder side. The desert attracts all kinds of people and their projects are out in the big wide-open in Joshua Tree, California. You'll visit two inspired collections—of art and crochet—and then visit a building erected to communicate with aliens, now used to perform "sound baths." Soak it all in at a Desert Hot Springs spa, so you'll be fully rested on your way back to reality.
