Porto di Trani
The port is made up of a natural bay defended by two breakwaters: the S. Lucia Quay and the Sant' Antonio Quay. The wharf of the Santa Lucia is equipped to haul small craft. The adjacent stretch of the Santa Teresa dock is equipped for hauling fishing craft; the Seminario dock is reserved to the fishing fleet; The Piazza Quercia and Piazza Tiepolo docks are reserved to pleasure craft. From the port, starting from the Santa Teresa dock you can see three churches : Santa Teresa Church. Ognissanti Church and Madonna del Carmine Church. We suggest you to reserve a boat where you can choose to make just a tour or to make "The pescaturismo" (stay in the boat the whole morning, fish with the fishermen and at the end taste the "booty" taken.

Chiesa Beata Maria Vergine del Monte Carmelo (o del Carmine)
The church of the Carmine in Baroque style, dominates the square in front of the port. Built in the seventeenth century on the remains of the church of San Giovanni of which the lower part of the ashlar facade remains. Inside there is the panel depicting the Madonna of the spring, a Byzantine icon, which, according to legend, arrived in Trani on the back of a dolphin, while the bells of Holy Saturday were ringing in the year 1234. The church is dear to the people of Trani as it is dedicatedto the patron saint of sailors and fishermen.

Saint Maria of Colonna
It is a monastery located on a peninsula known as "Capo Colonna". A Romanesque church is adjacent to the monastery. The current church, of Romanesque style, was built on a previous building of which sculptural elements remain. On the facade there is a pierced rose window overlooking an all round arch supported by small columns. The interior is divided into aisles and houses an altar in pure gold , a gift from Archduke COSIMO III dei Medici in exchange for the remains of Pope Saint Stephen who were venerated here.
