    • Enjoy a stroll through the colourful and picturesque historic old towns.
    • Dare to cook and try gingerbread in Torun and croissants in Pozna.
    • Learn about the life and work of Copernicus in his hometown.
    • Climb to the viewpoints to see the cities from a different angle.
    • Take a lot of pictures.
Welcome to a two-day tour that will take you to two of the most beautiful cities in Poland (although many of them are!).
The first city will be Torun, where Nicolaus Copernicus was born. There you can visit his modern, interactive museum. The city also specialises in gingerbread. It is so famous that there are two museums to visit! Its historic centre has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, so it is worth discovering some of its most important buildings. As the trip from Warsaw to Torun is about three hours, you can stop somewhere like Płock, on the banks of the Vistula River.
The second city to visit is beautiful Poznan, with one of the most colourful historic centres in the country. You won't be able to stop taking pictures! The suggestion is to walk around the city, visit the market square, the cathedral, the castle and, of course, the croissant museum, because the city is famous for this sweet.
    Ready to start?
This route can be done all year round, but it is best to avoid the winter months because of the snow on the roads and because most places close earlier. However, Christmas markets are held during these months.

    Torun, between Copernicus and Gingerbread

Welcome to the first day on the road! Today we will visit the small picturesque town of Torun. This town is famous for two main attractions: learning about the life and work of the famous astronomer Copernicus and tasting the delicious gingerbread. Although gingerbread or gingerbread biscuits are famous in many European countries, Torun's gingerbread is special. So much so that there are two museums dedicated to them. As the drive to Torun is a long one, it is suggested to make a quick stop in the city of Plock, which, although an industrial city, has a beautiful historic centre and a nice view of the Vistula River. In order not to make the journey by car the next day too long, it is advisable to sleep in the town of Gniezno. Enjoy the journey!

    Poznan, Colours and Croissants

The second day of the route begins! This time you will visit the city of Poznan, one of the oldest cities in Poland. Besides being one of the oldest, it has one of the most beautiful old town centres. Its main square with its colourful houses is a postcard that you will want to photograph from every angle. You can also taste the city's famous croissants and, if the days and times coincide, you can even make them yourself. After walking around the various attractions of Póznan, climbing the tower of its castle for beautiful views and visiting some of its churches it will be time to head back. As the driving time to Warsaw is long, it is suggested to stop for dinner in the town of Lowiczs.
