We have a busy day ahead of us. We'll visit a bison house, ride horses or ponies in the woods, look at owls, milk goats and make our own cheese.
Our first stop is a bison nursery in Toksovo Village. We will get acquainted with bison and bison, which there are 5 of them: Manana and Madam girls, young men of Beryozka, Mischka and Augustin. We'll get to know the details of the guys' lives, and maybe even feed them. Let's run to the animals at the mini-farm, and then ride horses or ponies in the woods. We move to the quarantine center of wild animals, unique in its conception and mission. It is the only kennel in our country, engaged in treatment, rehabilitation and further return of wild animals to their natural habitat. At the moment there are over 200 animals and birds in the center. Among Veles's wards: brown bear Tonya, elk Luminka, lioness Elsa, fox Alice, wolf Vuk, lynx Pusha and Marsik. The kennel exists solely through donations and volunteer activities. An exciting adventure awaits us on a farm 35 km from St. Petersburg! We will turn into real farmers: under the guidance of an experienced instructor we will learn how to milk goats, ferment milk, mix and mold cheese. We will take the prepared cheese home and taste local cheese and meat delicacies on the farm. "Australian Farm", by the way, is considered the northernmost ostrich farm. Wild boars, turkeys, cesars, pheasants, domestic pigs and goats neighbor with ostriches. We can see everyone at once.
