Longhorn Cavern State Park
This cavern was created by the cuts of an ancient river. Now, we can tour it and get a glimpse of the life of the rocks under our feet in the Hill Country. This State Park offers a walking tour of the cavern and a "wild cave" tour that requires a safety briefing and gear. It is better to get tickets in advance on the official website.

Reimers Ranch Park
There are activities for everyone at Reimer's Ranch Park. There are mountain biking trails, swimming in the Pedernales River, hiking trails, and rock climbing. Or, you can just find the picturesque spot you like and enjoy for awhile. There is a fee to enter and they only take cash. The park doesn't take advance reservations because the land is big enough that it generally doesn't fill up.
