We will start this journey by visiting the museum-reserve "Breakthrough of the Siege of Leningrad", which is a military and historical memorial complex. On the territory of the museum there are many exhibits that keep the memory of those heavy battles of 1943, a monument to the T-34 tank, the complexes "Nevsky Piglet" and "Sinyavskie Heights", an exhibition of military equipment, but the main attraction of the museum is the diorama "Breaking through the Siege of Leningrad".
Due to the pandemic of Covid-19 there is a restriction on the number of visitors to the exhibition: it can't exceed 7 people.
The museum is closed on Mondays.

We will have lunch at the cafe "At the Lighthouse", which offers a beautiful view of Lake Ladoga. Here you will be able to taste hot fish and meat dishes, a large variety of pastas, hot soups and delicious desserts.

The next point of our route will be the museum "The Road of Life", where during the Great Patriotic War began the road that gave the museum its name. In the museum building there are a lot of exhibits that tell the story of the creation and importance of the road of life, through which during the war several thousand lives were saved.
Here you will learn everything about how the highway was created, about the historical past of Lake Ladoga, you will see vehicles and military equipment of that time.
The museum is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

The "Steel Way" memorial marks the breakthrough of the blockade and the first train, as well as a reminder of the heroism of the railway workers who in 1943 built the railway to the Finnish Railway Station in just 12 days!

The next monument on our way is the "Crossing" memorial, created in memory of the pontoon warriors, who after breaking the siege built the crossing and the railway line across the Neva River, connecting the besieged Leningrad with the country.
Please note that the road to the monument is of poor quality and can be impassable depending on weather conditions.

If you get hungry quickly and don't feel like cooking dinner at home, stop by the Petrovskaya Trapeza restaurant that serves meat and fish kebabs.
