    Swimming Holes and Scenic Lookouts

    The third and final day of this itinerary is filled with amazing mountain scenery, a secret swimming hole, and a historic castle. Take it slow and enjoy the views before slowly winding your way back to Barcelona with a stop at an impressive castle.

    Gorg de la Febró

    The day starts with a beautiful drive back up into the mountains, where you can stop at this popular and scenic swimming hole. Hidden within the forest, this river and waterfall make for a perfect spot to cool off on a hot Spanish day in the mountains.
    Practical information: There are several small areas to park along the designated road, and it can get busy during the later parts of the day.
    A good pair of walking shoes are recommended. A bathing suit and towel are also required if you're planning on swimming, although you should note that there are no change rooms available.
    The waterfall and pool are around a 30-minute walk from the road, with the beginning of the trail signposted.

    La Mussara Antenna Viewpoint

    On the way to lunch after your swim, this viewpoint is a great stop to soak up those incredible mountain views. It's one of the last stops you'll make in the Mountains of Prades, so make the most of it!

    Dasca Vives

    Before you begin the journey back to Barcelona, this winery offers a great opportunity to stop and pick up some regional souvenirs. This vineyard makes a range of high-quality organic wines, and the owners are more than happy to show you the entire process of wine-making, from harvesting to aging in their cellar.

    Castellet Castle

    Your last stop before arriving back in Barcelona is the Castellet Castle. Built by the Iberians around 2,500 years ago, it's an impressive look at the region's history. It's the major attraction of the medieval town of Castellet i la Gornal, which sits above a protected reservoir.
    Opening Hours: The inside of the castle is only open on the second weekend of every month, between 10:00 and 14:00. However, it's still worth the short detour into the village even after it has closed, where you can view the castle from the outside as well as enjoy the charming streets of this Medieval town.
