"The Center of the Earth" and the "Starina Sibirskaya" Museum-Reserve

After breakfast, go to explore the beauties of Okunevo village. You can try to reach them by car, but in good weather tourists prefer to wander on foot - the more so that to reach the local beauties you won't succeed otherwise. And the first place of the today's route is the observation point from where you can enjoy the wonderful view of the turn of the Tara river and the coastal meadow.

Then the way goes to Omkar hill, "the place of power", which is attributed miraculous properties. Here you will see symbols of several religions - an Orthodox chapel, a Hindu altar, a pagan solstice and others.

Another "place of power", the Glade of Perun, is located in the forest, a couple of kilometres from the village. The glade has a perfect round shape. Some are sure that it is a site for spacecrafts. And Old Believers believe that the nature itself and the ancient gods allocated the place for ceremonies.

After a walk it's time to go to the beach. The entry to the water is gentle, clean and comfortable: in hot weather it's a pleasure to relax here!

For lunch, stop by the guesthouse where you are staying. There are no cafes as such in the village, but the owners of most hotels are willing to offer their guests three meals a day.

As good as Okunevo is, it's time to leave this wonderful place and discover new sights. An hour's drive and you're at Kartashevsky Yar, a steep section of the right bank of the Irtysh River. The place is considered a geological monument and one of the best sites for colorful selfies.

You may get to the other bank of the Irtysh together with the car by ferry. Daytime ferries depart from the right bank at 11:30, 13:30, 15:30 and 17:30. See the full schedule here or specify in the official group.

An important attraction of Bol'sherech'e is the local lore complex "Starina Sibirskaya". It is dedicated to the life of merchants and peasants in the late XIX - early XX centuries. Centuries-old huts, authentic Russian stoves, costumes, art objects - you can see a lot here!
The museum includes the main architectural complex (29 Sovetov Street), museum of local history (9 Krasnoarmeiskaya Street) and the picture gallery (54 Sovetov Street). The complex is open every day except Monday from 09:00 to 18:00. Lunch - from 13:00 to 14:00.

You can have dinner at the cafe "Perekrestok" at the exit from Bolsherech'e. It is a cozy cafe with a small menu that includes kebabs, soups and other simple and hearty dishes.

If it's not too dark outside, pay a last visit to the old Siberian village of Starokarasuk. According to archival materials, it appeared in 1699 thanks to the efforts of exiles who had no right to return to their small motherland. In the village there are a lot of old huts, and the main attraction is the Mamontovs' majestic house, built over 200 years ago.
