Kolomna and its architectural heritage

Already by the name you can understand that all sorts of samovars are exhibited here. The museum collection consists of 400 exhibits. In the past, every Russian family was sure to have a samovar, sometimes more than one!
You can also take a look at antique irons, kerosene lamps, women's jewelry and dresses of XVIII-XIX centuries.

The museum is located in a small nineteenth-century mansion. There used to be a confectionery shop of the merchants Suranov.
The autumn harvest of apples in Kolomna was always very abundant, so there was a problem with their storage and processing. It was the Suranov brothers who invented making delicious marshmallow from apples by mixing apple puree with honey.
Today, guests of the museum are introduced to the process of making sweets, which you can take part in yourself. And at the end of the tour, they are seated at a large table in the living room to treat them to marshmallows and tea.
Now you can buy marshmallows with berries, almonds and even rose petals in the museum store, in addition to the usual apple marshmallow!
