Road Trip in the Moroccan Countryside

Start your day with the last surf session of the trip. Head to Loving Surf Essaouira, a small shop located on the beach, owned by local surfers and kitesurfers. You can book a class in advance or simply rent boards if you feel comfortable enough to go in the waves by your own. You can find all the information on their official website.

As you're leaving Essaouira, on your way to Agadir passing by the country side, make a first stop at Baba Cafe at Douar Oulad Driss. Located in the middle of nowhere, the cafe serve traditional food and drinks, in a moroccan in a very traditional setting.

After lunch, head to this big carpet store located in the middle of nowhere. You'll also find tajine dishes or tea sets. It's the perfect place to buy presents for the cheapest price!

As you continue your way back to Agadir, stop at the point of view to breathe some fresh air in the middle of the Moroccan countryside. Take some pictures, enjoy the view ad take a walk around to enjoy the nature.

Grab a mint tea at Argana Cafe, a small road cafe located in the middle of the mountains reddened by the heat and the sun. In the midst of this mystical and unique environment, one feels almost as if one is on another planet.

As you just arrived in Agadir, head to its new medina. You will find a spectacular place, respecting the ancestral architecture of the Souss Massa. This medina is a reconstruction of the old medina of Agadir, unfortunately destroyed by an earthquake in 1960.

Finish your day at Johara Restaurant, one of the only truly moroccan restaurant in the big city of Agadir. You can enjoy a fish tagine, a red perch stew or a harira, a traditional soup, accompanied by black bread and dates. Good food, but the prices are quite high.
