Semyonov Tourist Town and Lake Svetloyar

The museum is located in the building of the former village school. The first part of the museum is dedicated to the history of the village and Lake Svetloyar, and the second part to ceramics.
The legend of the castle Kitezh made the lake Svetloyar famous all over the world. The unique chemical composition of water and its purity is the subject of scientific research. The museum contains materials of expeditions and artistic images of the lake.

After the museum, take a walk along Lake Svetloyar to the wooden chapel for atmospheric photos.

And now for the souvenirs! How about a matryoshka doll? On the territory of the Semyonovskaya Painting Factory, visitors will be introduced to the history of the Semyonovskaya Matryoshka doll and will be shown a huge collection of these ancient toys.

Next, go to Semen Lozhkar's house. The house-museum is built according to all the canons of wooden architecture. Here you'll learn everything about the life of a peasant in the second half of the 19th century.
