Kirkjufellsfoss And The Road To The Westfjords
The day starts early but it's worth! It begins with a proper visit to the kirkjufellsfoss, the famous waterfall with the mountain behind. Then, you will drive to the Westfjords.
The road follows the coastline of the fjords, so the views and landscape is just stunning. You will probably have the chance to see some seals before lunch. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a natural hot spring and some of the wildest beaches in the country.

Kirkjufellsfossar
This is one of the emblematic pictures of Iceland, because the mountain behind, Kirkjufell, has a very unique shape, is into the sea, and the landscape around is definitely amazing.
I recommend you to walk and get close to the sea to have a different panoramic of the mountain, will worth it.
From here you have a gorgeous drive into the Westfjords, stop as many times you need to take pictures and get amaze.

Coastal cliffs
It's been a long drive, so it is time to stop and stretch your legs a bit. From here the Westfjords begins and the volcanic landscape change to give the space to big beaches of golden sand, green mountains that ends in tall cliffs and waterfalls. From those cliffs you may see puffins and other kinds of birds.

Hellalaugur, Natural Hot Spring
This small natural hot spring is the perfect place to relax after the day. The water is about 38 Celsius degrees, it's 60 centimeters deep and 3 meters long. It is a little bit hidden so no many people know about it.
It is located in front of the sea, so the views couldn't be more amazing. You probably will feel the luckiest person in the world, as I did.

Garðar BA 64
Today a gosh ship, this is the oldest steel ship from Iceland, launched the same year that the Titanic in 1912, it was built for whaling.
It is a curious image to see it there. You can also visit the inside, I felt like an explorer, the location is quiet and lonely, so the feeling of wilderness is so strong.
Further along Road 612, more gorgeous beaches where you may have the chance to observe puffins. If you are up for challenges (and it's not dark yet), you can continue driving to Látrabjarg, the westernmost point of Iceland. It takes about 1 hour one way. A 4×4 is not needed, but the road is tricky. From there you will see puffins and many other birds that have its nest in the cliffs.
If you decide to go further, there is only one main road waiting for you - follow it and soon the most picturesque sight will open up in front of you.
