Saudi's Highlands

Our trip today to the south-western part of the Hejaz region, specifically to the city of Al Baha, is a journey to another aspect of the Saudi Arabia. Perched at an altitude of about 2500 meters above sea level in the Hejaz region, this city is home to dense green forests and natural parks such as Raghadan Forest, Zarayeb Forest, and winding valleys. Al-Baha is one of the best campgrounds in the Kingdom and a must-visit site with its lush forest, scenic heights, fresh air and breath-taking sky. Like the British capital known as the city of the fog, Abha, the Saudi city of fantasy and fog, holds the title of ""Life of the mist"", and is located at 2200 meters above sea level. The city experiences snowfalls in winter, and with its rainy spring and mild summer, it is one of the main destinations for domestic tourism in Saudi Arabia. The city enjoys an extraordinary heritage that you can discover while wandering around the Abha Palace theme park, and shopping in Abha vibrant traditional markets and its twin Khamis Mushait. You can then walk around the historical quarters like Al-Nasb and Al-Basta. Whether you are discovering the cultural village of Al-Muftaha or learning about the ancient tribal customs of the nearby villages of Al-Habla and Rijal Almaa, Abha remains the destination that allows you to indulge yourself in the unique culture of the Asir region.
