Museo di criminologia medioevale e della tortura
This museum is one of a kind. The collection includes about one hundred original artefacts dating back to the 15th, 17th and 18th centuries. Trace the history and evolution of the torture systems used by humans to extort information, punish deadly sins and subdue enemies. Definitely worth a stop here, even if it's not for the faint of heart.

Falesia Second Tower
San Marino rises on Mount Titano, as you know by now. This trail will offer some excellent views, but I recommend wearing comfortable closed shoes. Yesterday you visited the Guaita tower, the most central one. Now you will walk towards the other two towers. The three towers (Guaita, Cesta and the farthest one, Montale) represent the three feathers of the Titan, a symbol of freedom and independence so dear to San Marino. These watchtowers helped defend San Marino from military attacks from Rimini, where the Malatesta family reigned.

Third Tower - Montale
You have arrived at the Montale tower, the furthest of the three. The Montale tower warned the population in case of danger from the nearby Malatesta castles and also served as a prison. Here, the prisoners were lowered into a six-meter well, and never to see the sunlight again.
