Vyborg market, battle marks Leipiasuo, kayaking on Lake Sukhodolsk, evening in Priozyorsk.

After breakfast (and I hope you had some kalakukko fish pie or mummi porridge in the morning) we go to the Old Vyborg Market. The building has been standing for almost 115 years and has only gotten better over the years. Inside it's a regular market, where - attention! - You can buy Finnish delicacies and Finnish handmade knitwear. Grab some snacks and water at the market; they'll come in handy on your upcoming mini-trip.
The market is in the heart of the city, so after shopping I recommend throwing your purchases in the trunk and walking around among the old houses and cathedrals a bit more.

Podgornye Lakes is a great place to rest: it's quiet, dry, the surrounding forests grow a lot of mushrooms and berries, and the water is not icy, like in Ladoga.

You are not far from Leipäsuo. Leipäsuo means "Bread Bog" in Finnish. Probably plants from the local swamps were used as food in times of famine. According to another version, the name is associated with the construction of the railroad during the years of economic hardship, which provided earnings for hundreds of workers.
In the vicinity of the station Leipyasuo preserved battlefields of the Soviet-Finnish War of 1939-40. Among them is a fragment of the Mannerheim Line, the Finnish fortified line. Here you will need a guide (you can ask here), but you can try to find the DOTs yourself.

For a late lunch we stop by the restaurant at the Silver Guest House. The complex is located on the shore of the beautiful Sukhodol Lake. Forest air + stylish interiors + reasonable prices = love.
In the past Sukhodol Lake was called Suvanto-Jarvi. In 1939 the front line of Soviet-Finnish war passed along it. However no bloody dramas were unfolded here - the lake witnessed only artillery bombardments from the southern shore.

It's a great trip, isn't it? And to make it dynamic, come to the Gazpromneft filling station, take water and a snack.

We go to the beach in Priozersk, a town on the shore of Lake Ladoga, to watch the sunset. These places are quintessentially idyllic (and even a little heartbreaking) beauty.

You will hardly find a more stylish place in the whole Priozersk than "Tochka na Karta". The menu in the restaurant consists of the most popular northern dishes: Danish smørrebreds with Baltic herring, pikeperch suguday, fish Ladoga dumplings with fir oil, crème brûlée with pine cream (oh, gods!). You can't try it all!

With all these lakes and endless herring, the night sneaked up unnoticed. Let's hurry to the hotel so we don't fall asleep from fatigue in the creamy ear.
