    • Taste the delicious Menorca flavours.
Menorca is the Balearic island furthest from Spain, and this in a way has helped to preserve its integrity, both cultural and natural. In fact, in 1993 the island was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO, which underlines the oneness between the inhabitants of Menorca and nature.
Take a day to see this harmonious relationship and immerse yourself in this unspoilt nature: from east to west, you will pass through natural parks, viewpoints and beaches that will make you feel part of this wonderful balance.
The natural beauty of Menorca is stunning throughout the year; but if you want to fully enjoy your time at the beach, choose the summer months to follow this route.

    Albufera des Grau Nature Park

Two of the three official paths designed for visitors depart from the Visitors centre (the third starts from the football field in Es Grau). Choose one and enjoy a leisurely walk through the beauty of the park's flora and fauna, including panoramic views and vantage points for birdwatchers.
All the trails are of low difficulty, short (the shortest is 1.7 km and the longest is 2.8 km) and can be walked all year round (the two shortest also by bicycle).
In addition to these, the park is also traversed by the Camí de Cavalls, the 185-km-long path that encircles the whole of Menorca.

    Monte Toro Sanctuary

Walk towards the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Monte Toro, passing by a statue of Christ the Redeemer, who, arms outstretched, seems to welcome visitors to the mountain.
The Sanctuary is dedicated to the Virgin, patron saint of Menorca, whose apparition is shrouded in a curious legend, and it is closely linked to the return of Christianity to the island in the 13th century. In fact, it has been considered a spiritual centre for the Menorca people and a pilgrimage destination ever since.
