Hot Springs

Just imagine, the water temperature in the spring is approaching one hundred degrees! As you walk past the bubbling geysers, you'll see thick clouds of steam - a surprising and even frightening sight. By the way, the Icelanders were able to "tame" Deildartunguhver, and today it supplies hot water to all nearby settlements.

Gudlfoss, in Icelandic, means "golden waterfall. Where the name comes from is not known; there is a version about the sun's rays reflected in the splash, and there is a version about the treasure of the trolls hidden nearby.
