Rio de Janeiro: Bem-vindo!
This is the first day we will spend in Rio de Janeiro.
It is one of the most famous cities in Brazil, full of tourist attractions.
The name of the city literally means "river in January" linked to its discovery on January 1, 1502.
The golden beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema make it one of the most chosen destinations for those who love the sea. Walking through the streets of Rio you will be overlooked by the statue of Cristo Redentor that embraces the whole town.
We cannot forget the great greenery of the Tijuca forest and the beautiful Rio Carnival that make this city unique.

The place I recommend for your first meal in Rio is right by the beach. Pavao Azul is a typical Brazilian bar with typical cuisine where you can enjoy the main dish "bolinhos de bacalhau" for a few reais (the Brazilian currency).
