The church was built in 1848 and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Grimstad. The church is open to the public during the summer months, from June to August.

Obelisk in Borre is a must-see when in Kristiansand. It is the tallest structure in Southern Norway, at over 27 meters.
The obelisk was built in 1885 as a memorial to the Norwegian constitution.
