Back to Amsterdam

As you leave the Klompenmakerij you’ll see a supermarket (Deen) and a car park across the street to your right. When facing the supermarket, follow the cycle path to the right. This cycle path runs over the Waterlandse Zeedijk alongside the N518 provincial road. Cycle for approximately 30 minutes with the Markermeer on both sides of you. As you look into the distance ahead of you, you can see the tallest buildings of the Amsterdam skyline, such as the Rembrandttoren, A’DAM Toren and the Pontsteiger. To your left, you can see the skyline of Almere. Follow the Waterlandse Zeedijk until you’re back in Monnickendam and continue through the town. At the roundabout, continue straight onto the Bernardlaan, which takes you back to the church and the bus stop. Cycle behind the church via De Zarken and the Kerkstraat. At the junction, turn left onto Noordeinde, where, in a few moments, you’ll be back at the Ber Koning to return your bike.

Walk back towards the church via the Kerkstraat and De Zarken, then onwards to the bus stop. We hope you won't have to wait here for too long. Take bus 312 or 314 to return to Amsterdam.
