Garabash (which means "black head" in Tatar) appeared in 1822 after discovery of gold placers on the place of ancient Tatar settlement. Today it is considered the dirtiest city on the planet. Surprisingly, with this status it attracts curious tourists.
Passing through the city, you'll see Poklonnaya Mountain on your left. On the slope of the mountain there is a white stone inscription "Save and Preserve" and above it there is an iron cross.

This lake was nicknamed the Ural Baikal for its crystal clear water, picturesque shores and mysterious history. This object also has a legend about the origin of the name, which tells about the love of young Tur and Koyak girl.
Not far from the west coast is the island of Vera, where ancient megalithic structures and the Neanderthal camp were discovered. This means that the island was used not only by Old Believers, but also by an ancient man to worship his gods. Now the place continues to attract both tourists and believers who consider the island a place of power.

Many characters from P.P.Bazhov's fairy tales have settled on the park's territory, as well as museums with mineral and weapon collections and expositions that introduce traditional crafts of Zlatoust.

This museum is considered one of the most interesting sights in Miass and is among the five largest geological-mineralogical museums in Russia. A huge collection of various minerals is represented here, and the Ilmensky Hall presents samples of rocks and minerals of the Ilmensky mountains, including those that were discovered here for the first time in the world. On the top floor there is the Biological Hall, which gives an idea of the fauna and flora of the Ilmensky Reserve.

On February 15, 2013, Chelyabinsk became famous for the fall of a meteorite. The celestial body exploded in the air, and its fragments scattered across the region. The largest of them fell into Lake Chebarkul, on the shore of which you are now. The shard was raised from the bottom and the meteorite was recognized as the largest since the fall of the Tunguska meteorite in 1908. The shard itself is now in the Chelyabinsk Museum of Local Lore.
