Villa d'Este
Drive around Rome via its outer circle road and you will arrive in Tivoli, where the gorgeous Villa d'Este is located.
Warning! Watch out for the Zona Trafico Limitato signs in each city our town you drive in. This is a restricted area where only resident cars are allowed. Each camera that will catch your license plate will issue a huge fine! But the end of the general road usually has a turnaround and a parking nearby.
One hour is enough to walk around the villa and its beautiful green gardens. If you have more time, enjoy the town of Tivoli itself.

Ristorante Le Due Lune
This elegant place is a real secret. For those who don't search well, of course :-)
Right in the middle of small countryside area, on a hill with amazing views, it's a perfect place for a dinner on the sunset.
We arrived right on time of the evening opening. After half an hour the place was full of locals who come here to escape touristic masses. Portions are huge, so mind your order. It was our first dinner in Italy, so we had too much of everything.
Tuesday–Sunday: 12:30 – 15:30 , 7:45 – 23:30 . Closed on Monday.

Villa Meonia
We stayed at Villa Meonia. They specialize in weddings and events, but also glad to invite travellers. If it's not available for your dates, you can pick any alternative around. There are some nice lodgings in the area around.
We arrived late in the evening and couldn't see anything, so went directly to bed. When we woke up, we found ourselves all alone in a magical location on a chic farm with a donkey, a pool, amazing territory around us and the host who not only offered us a great breakfast but also gave recommendations on places to visit around.
On the next day, we wanted to do rafting in the Marmore Falls, but the weather was cold and wet without any river activities. That's why we decided to use the recommendations and drive around the area. Don't worry, we included the Falls in our itinerary.
