Memorial to the Marine Engine Room Heroes
This afternoon, walk across to the Titanic Memorial near Liverpool Waterfront. Located on St. Nicholas Place, this Grade II listed granite monument beautifully commemorates the heroes of the Marine Engine Room who lost their lives in the sinking of Titanic on 15 April 1912. The 48ft memorial was designed by Welsh sculptor Sir William Goscombe John RA and was first unveiled on 6th May 1916.
