Langhe, A Sensory Experience

Between the provinces of Cuneo and Asti we find the land of the Langhe: hills that seem to have no end, covered with rows of vines that bear fruit in the summer and after harvest turn into fine wines. Barolo, Barbaresco, Nebbiolo, Roero. These are wines you have probably already tried. And if you haven't yet, this trip will introduce you to flavors that you won't be able to live without later. For the ladies, Dolcetto is a "gentler" wine. The Langhe is also a land of truffles: the Alba Truffle is certainly the best known. Hazelnuts, the kind you find in typical Piedmontese ciocciolatini. I bet your mouth is already watering! There are so many specialties to taste, we'll see them as we go along.

Perhaps the name "Alba" to many people will not say anything, but certainly everyone knows that of "Nutella": the famous spreadable cream was born right here. In fact, you will see that in addition to vines, the vegetation is also home to many hazelnut plants, at the foot of which truffles, another specialty of this small village, are often found. On today's day we will taste some excellent Barolo and there will be no shortage of photography on the giant bench, this time red!
