Day 1: Upper Mandrogi and Lake Onega

Today 500 kilometers of journey are waiting for you, and during this time you will have an opportunity to visit a fortress in Staraya Ladoga, to take part in a master-class of traditional Russian crafts, to visit a vodka museum, and in the evening to stroll along the winter embankment of Onega Lake and enjoy the coolness and northern scenery.

Day 2: Karelian traditions

Today you will start the day with a visit to the Kivach Nature Reserve and a walk near the majestic waterfall. Next you will be welcomed by the northern huskies. Afterwards you will visit the village of Kinerma, where time has stopped and you will be able to see the traditional Karelian way of life. After the village you will have dinner in one of the best restaurants of the region.

The Kivach Nature Reserve is an amazing place, where you can enjoy being at one with nature and take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. The gem of the reserve is the waterfall of the same name, which does not freeze even in the cold season. Leave your car in the car park and go and explore the snow-covered surroundings.

Next stop is the resort "Marcial Waters" - one of the oldest water health resorts in Russia. There is a very interesting historical object - the Church of the Apostle Peter. The temple is remarkable not only for its atypical architecture, but also for its interior decoration, the iconostasis deserves special attention. Some researchers believe that the faces of angels depicted on the icons, have portrait similarity with the faces of associates of Emperor Peter I. Near the temple there is a shop where you can buy Karelian souvenir products. The choice is quite large - from the usual magnets and postcards to unusual tinctures made according to local recipes.

The village has been repeatedly burned by the Swedes and raided by the Cossacks, but it has not lost its uniqueness and its unique unhurried peasant way of life. Day 3: Skheri, the old kirkha and history.

Start the morning at the skerries - they are the most beautiful places in Karelia both in winter and in summer. Afterwards, drop in at Winter's Dacha, where you can stroll along the eco-trail. Another interesting stop will be Owl Mountain - rather large underground museum of military history. Let's hit the road!

The Ladoga Skerries is a unique natural complex consisting of more than 600 islands of different sizes, located in the northern and north-western part of Lake Ladoga.
